Main achievements whilst at Central:-

Consolidated the writing of budgets and administration of 16 department

Originated a computerised system to control and report on an expenditure totalling &18 million (I was always under budget)

Negotiated over 2000 freelance Producer, Director and Researcher contracts

Administration of 200 production staff based on three sites including the co-ordination of personnel, office accommodation and resources for programme makers in Birmingham, Nottingham and London

Originated special projects including the production of the 'Crossroads' video cassette to coincide with the transmission of the final episode of the long running 'soap opera'

Devised and developed the computer program and system used for the engagement of freelance Producers, Directors and Researchers which facilitated a higher volume of hiring and centralised control

Initiated and completed a feasibility study into the acquisition of a Los Angeles based programme and clip library

Whilst at Central I also undertook freelance work for Dick Clark Productions in California working on 'Bloopers and Practical Jokes' for NBC and 'World of Television' for HBO.
I was resident in Los Angeles in 1981/2 where I undertook researcher and management posts in broadcasting and employment agencies on obtaining 'Resident Alien' (Green Card) status.
